    Talking about having the “reality” of killing a character set in, I had a similar experience with a mech game. Can’t recall the name, but it was something like primitive WWII mechs and you took turns smashing or hitting each other. With a lucky shot, you could pop the pilot out of the opposing mech. Said pilot would wave their arms and say something like “No, no, no!” right before you strafed them with machine gun fire. Woah. Struck me and made me think about what it would’ve been like had it been reality.
